The eye lands first on the bold FRENCH OPEN title in capitals, set above a clay court with sharp white lines and a palette of terracotta, off-white and ivory black.

The Roland-Garros tournament, played on terracotta-coloured clay courts, is the obvious reference here: the surface slows the ball and shapes the visual imagination of tournament posters. The poster is by Cédric des Lauriers. The composition uses an implicit grid and upper-case sans-serif type that reference mid-century modern and the International Typographic Style, favouring simple forms and legibility. The contrast between the cream header, horizontal rules and the geometric court layout structures the image without unnecessary detail.

Printed on fine art paper 275 g/m², matte finish of museum quality, FSC-certified paper. The print preserves the terracotta flats and ivory black of the composition, with visible archive margins. Available in multiple sizes; optional wood frame in oak, black or white. EU delivery.

Hang above a console in the entrance hall, or in a long corridor where the title has room to breathe.
