Deauville Golf Poster - Cedric des Lauriers
The eye settles first on the golfer silhouette in full swing on a horizontal field, with terracotta, ochre yellow and brick red colour fields structuring the image.
July 1929, Deauville: the Golf Barriere clubhouse occupies the ground floor of the Hotel du Golf, designed by Georges Wybo, illustrating the neo-Norman style seen here stylised on the fairways. Art Deco travel posters favoured geometric forms, limited palettes and sans-serif lettering integrated into the visual. The poster is signed by Cedric des Lauriers.
